Critical Pitching AdviceJune 17, 2011
Where does pitching velocity come from? Some may argue that velocity is genetic; I really believe there is some truth to that. There are some genetic freaks in major league baseball that’s for sure. Some say its about how strong a persons arm is. If you have been receiving these emails for awhile you know that’s not true.
One person told me today that a pitcher cannot throw faster by altering their mechanics. What? That hit me hard because I have seen students gain 3 miles an hour in a matter of minutes because they were literally throwing all arm before; no legs or hips.
You can’t tell me that proper pitching mechanics don’t help create velocity!
What are mechanics anyway? Simply put it’s how you throw the baseball correctly using your entire body to generate momentum toward your target. Regardless of how you or anybody defines it, pitching mechanics don’t have to be difficult to understand. In fact, they are quite simple really.
After years of studying biomechanics and teaching countless pitching lessons, seeing and experiencing first hand what works and what doesn’t, Nate and I feel we cut to the chase and simplify something that can be very complex. We deliver it to you in a way that you can easily implement and see immediate progress in your pitching. Others will see it too! We are confident you will pack on some serious MPH, play at a higher level and stay healthy for years to come using what is taught in our new pitching mechanics DVD.
