Young pitchers are fascinated with throwing different pitches. I remember a few years ago I asked a 9 year old kid what his best pitch was and he told me a “knuckle-curve sliderball.”
The thing of it is, you really only need two to three good pitches and the ability to locate them properly to win games.
So rather than spend all your time “inventing” six to ten pitches that you want to try out next year, find two or three that you can spend some time developing.
Unless of course you’re this guy… then you just need one pitch.
PS – Remember, we’re in the middle of nasty pitch week. This means a couple things to you. First, our Pitching Grips DVD is just $25 (we’ll cover the shipping).
And secondly, we want your best and nasty pitch or outing videos. You got until the 20th to send us your clip via YouTube. The nastiest pitch or outing wins a free Grips DVD.
